2022 Strawhouse WPK Shiraz
100% Shiraz, the 2022 WPK displays the typical intensity of the low-cropping Strawhouse Vineyard. The wine has lifted exotic spice flavours with a medium bodied palate and soft textured tannins. The wine is named for our grandson, Walter - we hope we can keep some bottles until he is 18! This is a barrel selection of our favourite three Shiraz barrels from the vintage - so (like Walter) it is a special limited edition. Hand-picked, sorted and plunged, this wine is an excellent expression of cool climate Shiraz. Drink 2026-2032.

A youthful purple red in the glass. There's lifted aromas of blueberry, Asian spice, sarsaparilla, cloves and dried herbs. Bright, blue fruited and crunchy, with plenty of snappy fruit, grippy tannins and punchy acidity. A vibrant and lively cooler climate shiraz.
